Description of Project:

Sukut Construction, Inc. moved more than 17 million cubic yards of earth to create 268 mountaintop lots across 268 graded acres for this multi-million-dollar development. The company implemented innovative grading and reconstruction techniques to reshape mountainous terrain and create a safer environment for future communities. The project was completed in just 17 months without any lost-time incidents.

The following is a brief summary of the work performed:

• Completed 17.5 million cubic yards of earthwork to create 268 residential pads.
• Utilized 50 scrapers to move approximately 1.5 million cubic yards of earth per month.
• Constructed 10 miles of concrete “V” terrace ditches to help drain water from the hillside.
• Installed 7,200 square yards of Geogrid fabric soil reinforcement along the main entrance corridor.
