Description of Project:
Sukut Construction is constructing a new lined landfill cell spanning approximately 43 acres to support the continued expansion and operation of the facility. The project includes approximately 36,000 cubic yards of grading and placement of 192,000 cubic yards of low-permeability material along the landfill slopes to enhance environmental protection and long-term performance.
In addition, Sukut is performing nearly two million square feet of subgrade preparation and installing more than 61,000 linear feet of leachate collection and recovery system and landfill gas piping. The scope also includes the construction of asphalt access roads, concrete trap channels, a reinforced-concrete basin, retaining walls, basin drainage infrastructure, and associated landfill support facilities. Upon completion, the project will provide critical waste containment, leachate management, and landfill gas collection systems designed to support safe and environmentally responsible operations.
