Sukut Named a 2026 Top Solar Contractor by Solar Power World for Second Consecutive Year
July 29, 2026
Sukut Construction has once again been recognized as one of the nation's leading renewable energy builders, earning a place on Solar Power World's 2026 Top Solar Contractors List for the second consecutive year.
Published annually, the Top Solar Contractors List is the solar industry's most recognized ranking of contractors, developers, EPC firms, installers, and electrical subcontractors across the United States. Companies are ranked based on the amount of solar capacity installed during the previous year.
After debuting on the list at No. 22 in 2025, Sukut climbed to No. 9 nationally this year, installing 1,299,000 kW of solar capacity in 2025 and earning a place among the country's top utility-scale solar contractors.
The recognition reflects Sukut's continued growth in renewable energy construction and the expertise of its teams delivering large-scale solar facilities throughout the western United States. From earthwork and civil infrastructure to complete balance-of-plant construction, Sukut continues to help bring clean, reliable energy projects online while maintaining its longstanding commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
"This recognition reflects the dedication of our people and the confidence our clients place in Sukut to deliver complex renewable energy projects," said Ryan Prokop, Vice President of Sukut Construction's Energy Division. "Every project is built on strong partnerships, careful planning, and the commitment of our field crews, project teams, equipment operators, and support staff. We're grateful for the opportunity to help our clients expand our nation's renewable energy infrastructure, and we're proud to continue delivering the safe, high-quality construction that has become synonymous with the Sukut name."
This year's ranking comes during the 15th anniversary of the Top Solar Contractors List, which recognizes the companies helping advance solar energy across the United States. More than 72% of the firms recognized this year have over a decade of experience in the solar industry.
Over the past several years, Sukut has completed a wide range of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across the United States. The company's expertise spans the full spectrum of renewable energy construction, including civil work, site development, mechanical installation, and module installation, enabling clients to successfully deliver some of the nation's largest and most complex clean energy facilities.
Sukut is honored to receive this recognition and thanks its employees, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners whose dedication, collaboration, and trust continue to make achievements like this possible.
