Jorge Becerra Vice President, Environmental

As vice president of the environmental division at Sukut Construction, Jorge leads the continued growth and expansion of the company’s environmental market. He is responsible for strengthening client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and broadening Sukut’s presence into new geographic regions. Jorge also provides leadership and support to project managers and engineers within the division, helping develop the next generation of talent while ensuring the successful delivery of complex environmental projects.

Jorge began his career at Sukut in 2014 as an intern and joined the team full-time as a project engineer in 2015, following his graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Management from California State University, Long Beach. He was promoted to project manager in 2019, where he managed multiple large-scale environmental projects for both public and private clients. His experience spans landfill construction, mass excavation, disaster relief, and public works. While managing projects, Jorge also supported the estimating team and played an active role in training interns and junior engineers.

His strong client relationships and consistent project success have contributed to Sukut’s continued work on long-term sites across California. With over a decade of experience in heavy civil construction, Jorge brings technical expertise, operational insight, and a passion for mentorship to his leadership role.

Outside of work, Jorge enjoys playing competitive sports, especially soccer, traveling with his family, and spending time with his three children.
