Mike Zanaboni

Mike Zanaboni Vice President, Dams & Reservoirs

Mike joined Sukut Construction in 1984 and currently serves as vice president of the company’s dams and reservoirs market.

With a career at Sukut spanning over four decades, Mike began right out of college as a field engineer on one of the company’s first earthen dam projects, the Red Mountain Reservoir and Dam. He spent the next ten years in estimating and project management before assuming the role of earthwork manager for the 241 Toll Road in 1994. This $800 million joint venture design-build project involved the movement of over 68 million cubic yards of earth, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Following the project’s completion in 1999, Mike became Sukut’s San Diego market president, where he opened the Oceanside office and led the company’s expansion into a new region. In 2005, he transitioned to Sukut’s corporate office in Santa Ana, where he served as vice president of operations.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Industrial Technology and Construction Management from California State University, Long Beach.

Family is a top priority for Mike, and he makes it a point to spend quality time with his wife, two children, and two grandchildren. He also leads an active lifestyle and is passionate about hockey, visiting the rink on a weekly basis. Mike enjoys golf and is determined to bring his score below 90.
