SANTA ANA, Calif., Sept. 13, 2017 – Sukut Construction, LLC, a leading general heavy civil engineering contractor, announced today the appointment of Steve Yurosek as president. Steve replaces Sukut’s former president, Mike Crawford, who will remain the Company’s CEO.
Previously serving as vice president of the residential market at Sukut, Yurosek will now be responsible for all of the operations of the Company, including estimating, field operations, and project management. Yurosek will also continue to be in charge of Sukut’s residential grading markets. With Yurosek’s proven track record of delivering the highest quality projects in a timely manner and on budget, it is the Company’s CEO’s belief that this change will help Sukut reach its goals faster and more efficiently.
“In his thirteen-year career at Sukut, Steve has demonstrated his knowledge of the industry, as well as a strong work ethic and a continuous desire to learn. Yurosek grew up in Southern California and has over thirty years of experience in the construction industry. Upon his arrival at Sukut in 2004, Yurosek opened the Los Angeles office as a division president, overseeing operations and performance of the projects. In 2010, he moved to the Santa Ana office and began overseeing all private residential projects, which remain Sukut’s core competency. Residential projects utilize more than one hundred scrapers and generate roughly one hundred million dollars in revenue annually. Under Yuroseke’s management, Sukut’s performance on residential projects has been very successful: meeting and exceeding schedules while continuing to complete projects under budget. Yurosek is a member of the Board of Directors of both Sukut Construction LLC and the Southern California Contractors Association. “Steve’s passion for construction, deep knowledge of the industry and drive to succeed align him with the values we’ve established over 50 years at Sukut and I have every confidence he will be a highly motivated and motivational leader,” said Crawford.
