Project Summary:

Excavate the existing slag pile to designed sub grade. At the East Slag Pile, constructed a 4inch cover soil layer with integrated storm drain system. At the Chemwest area, constructed a 2 inch barrier layer, an HDPE and Geocomposite liner, then a 2 inch barrier soil layer with an integrated drainage system.



Scope of Work & Percentage Self-Performed:
  • On-site excavated and moved 250,000 cubic yards of slag material.
  • Imported 453,000 CY of cover soil material.
  • Installed 14,000 LF of ADS drainage pipe ranging from 6 in. to 30 in. with 55 inlet basins.
  • Installed 175,000 SF of Geo-synthetic clay liner.
  • Size of the project is 60 acres.
  • 90% self performed.
