Sukut Construction Promoted Bob Ogier To Key Position For The Company's Los Angeles Division
SANTA ANA, CA - August 4, 2008 - Sukut Construction Inc., California's largest earthmover, has promoted Bob Ogier of Tarzana in the San Fernando Valley to the position of Construction Superintendent for the company's Los Angeles division.
Ogier, who joined Sukut in 2004, most recently served as a field grading foreman. In his new position, Ogier will oversee an expanding list of public works jobs in the Los Angeles/Ventura region, including a contract awarded this month by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors for improvements to the Oxnard Airport.
"Bob Ogier is one of our most knowledgeable managers," said Michael Crawford, CEO/president, Sukut Construction. "As an added plus, he has worked in Los Angeles for three decades, so he is exceptionally familiar with the terrain."
Among the current projects under Ogier's direction is the expansion of the Santa Clarita sports complex. Ogier will oversee the grading of the city's 60 acres in preparation for doubling the size of the existing complex located on Centre Pointe Parkway in the Centre Pointe Industrial Park. Another project under Ogier's direction is the installation of a drain into the 140 million gallon Big Dalton Reservoir in Los Angeles County, which requires draining the water, removing 70,000 cubic yards of earth, and jacking a 60-inch pipe. Ogier and his team also will help with the installation of an underground drainage pipe and boxed culverts at Oxnard Airport to alleviate an ongoing aviation hazard caused by open ditches near the runway.
